FED: Student unions are not trade unions campus body

CANBERRA, Feb 25 AAP - Almost 2,500 jobs would be at risk if the federal government imposed
its anti-trade union agenda on student unions, the nation's leading university staff body said
today.

Under draft legislation, Education Minister David Kemp would make university funding
conditional on student unions halting the collection of compulsory student association fees.
